Post anzeigenMerits to either side of the argument aside (and both sides have them) - purely on the political side he’s picking the “lefty but popular” option. Data centers, clear cutting, and PGE are all unpopular and the last proposal to council failed 12-nil. Opposition is also a DSA priority.
Post anzeigenAs far as I understand, the project mostly benefits North and Northwest Portland, rather than Washington County. I fail to understand the opposition to it.
Post anzeigenIf it were a brand new I'd be more concerned, but its dirrectly next to an existing line, and having walked under that line I dont think it has ever hampered my enjoyment of the park. Theres an impact, yes, but enough to warrant turning a 1,400ft project into a multi-mile one?
