Post anzeigenI fear that both in England and the United States there were smaller shifts, some more justifiable than others, towards using pardons as a form of immunity and/or for symbolic purposes. The main difference with Trump is the sheer scale of these indulgences.

Like so much of the MAGA movement, he sees it less as an instrument of law than as a way of lifting himself & his supporters above the law
