    I was talking about this yesterday: often it seems to me that people see "weirdness" or unpredictability where they don't detect internal consistency. I've often surprised or confused people when I didn't do the done thing because I saw it as stupid.

    Often people go with the flow when it logically makes no sense, seemingly because they're bound by some invisible traction or gravity they can't explain: social conventions, not offending people, etc. And often I don't because my morals don't allow me to, or I think it's illogical to.

    But more importantly: often I'm seen to be inflexible or "difficult" (the latter also a common adjective for women and never for toxic men) when I don't just allow systems or people to take advantage of me. As though enough people are afraid to go against the grain it's expected I'll take it.
