The underestimation of Dems last night was larger than any pro-Republican error in the polls over the last decade with the exception of 2020. And I don't see major media orgs fundamentally reshaping their columnist slates or editorial priorities to address their "blind spot," as they did after 2024.

How do “mail-in ballot scanners” manage to pass the election deniers’ “black box” tests? They’re constantly screaming about polling place ballot readers, tabulation machines, etc., and even burglarizing storage centers to “forensically audit” them. What problem do these scanners solve for them?

I'd hate to be taking any suggestions from the election denier crackpots, but what would we know about how these "mail-in ballot scanners" work, given that they're allegedly being developed and deployed within about a 15-second time frame? Can I "forensically audit" them? If not, why not?
