I don’t care, I love it 😍 Well my algorithm has gone down the toilet but I really don’t care as I just love taking photos and sharing my results with everyone. Nikon Z9 and Sigma 150mm macro SS1/600 F6.3 ISO3200 (cloudy) #bee #beeinflight #macro #insectphotography #actionphotography

Eucalyptus pachyloma (Kalgan Plains mallee) in full flower at the arboretum today, just crawling with washing beetles (Phyllotocus rufipennis, a type of scarab beetle) looking for nectar. Look out for the bonus 'blue ant' (Diamma bicolor, actually a type of flower wasp)!

Tailed leek orchids (Prasophyllum appendiculatum) variations in Croajingolong NP, E. Gippsland, VIC. Flower colour is quite variable in this rare species with a mix of yellow, brown, red and purple forms often growing close together. Good no.s out this spring despite the dry conditions #orchids

Finally found one! Not especially rare, though relatively localised, but the sweetest #Tasmanian native #orchid, the flying duck-orchid (Claeana maior)! (Oddly in the early 1900s, apparently called a 'cockatoo orchid') Isn't #nature amazing? #flora #botany #flowers #bloomscrolling #Australia
