Training AI on one's works isn't theft of said works. Nor is it likely infringement, as fair use doctrine applies. This isn't the case if one outright decompiles and recompiles another's code. That said, a cleanroom implementation of mechanics and math isn't infringing.

Not everything that happens without your consent is theft. Fair Use explicitly allows for works to be used without consent. This isn't theft just because you dislike this instance of it being used.

I disagree. Fair Use was drafted to carve out protections from copyright to prevent it from being an oppressive violation of free speech and crippling progress and innovation. Sounds like it fits just fine. You may not like it, but that doesn't make it theft.
