When ao3 comes back yall better comment the HELL out of fics
Post anzeigenOne thing i hope comes out of this AO3 shutdown is that writers get more appreciation for the work they do, thankless and for free. Its not a good feeling to feel undervalued!! But it's good to see how much quiet heavy lifting is done in fandom by writers! Let's get bigger AND louder for them!!
Post anzeigenWe put hours, days, weeks, *months* of work into fics FOR FREE and this is how we get treated? All this to say, if you want to read a certain fic during the ao3 outage, don't just repost it on your own. Talk to the author. There are options we can use to share our work with y'all if you just *ask*
Post anzeigenI hate being that person but I do wonder how many people freaking out actually leave comments on fics they like. "Write for yourself" is about what you're writing, but if people aren't engaging with it, it's like screaming into the void.
Post anzeigenwatching someone be like "hey maybe don't share strangers' fics without permission?" and the response being "fuck you, I do what I want" sure is something
