It's small potatoes of things to be slightly annoyed with, but has that same energy I got from South Park where for a brief bit following the 2016 election, they went, "Yeah, we're not doing politics anymore" when I'm like, "You were part of the problem! But you get to back out now?"

Like if suddenly every fighting game influencer put their foot down and said, “Look, we don’t want this in our community. Full stop.”, I think that would have some legitimate sway on all the clout vultures pushing these out. Yet I guess the treats must be consumed and the keys must be jingled.

While I would silently disagree with a nameless gamer trying a vibecoded port, they ultimately aren’t contributing anything to the bigger picture. But when you are THE defacto FGC guy for the common man and you’re the final word on what’s right/wrong, I would be more responsible/insightful.

its the same song and dance as the fg influencers who cant stop arguing over "500 evos is good/bad" and neither side is talking about the sportswashing, just "prestige" they always miss the actual problem w this kinda thing

Since this blew up, can’t state enough, I don’t want Max (and everyone else’s) heads on pikes. I just want the influencers in this space to have a little bit of a education and a backbone. I sadly don’t think that it’s going to happen before it’s too late (it’s already too late), but it’s just sad.
