Post anzeigenI rode in a hot air balloon once, as a kid. Hard pass. Did not like. It wasn't the height that bothered me, it was how insecure the basket felt. Did not like. Also, height doesn't matter once you're above like 30 feet it's all splat or whatever.
Post anzeigenEarly in my career when I got notes on a trailer I'd have to have a tantrum for a day and then come back to it the next day and roll my sleeves up. I'd take a big red marker and write on pages "BAD NOTE!!!!" Of course I never showed anyone those. That was just for me. Now nothing phases me.
Post anzeigenAnd it's hard to get notes on something you worked your ass off on and believe in and not take it personally. That doesn't come naturally. That's a skill you have to learn and a muscle you need to exercise, but it is THE thing that will let you keep a career as a creative professional.
Post anzeigenI think there is some relationship between this genre and the "temporarily embarrassed millionaire" mindset; they both indulge the fantasy that anyone *could* prove themselves to be a genius/hero in "the right circumstances" and so people get to feel like they *are* X because "they could be".
