    There are some experiences in life that stay with us long after they happen. I know that from personal experience. I was once threatened with a knife, and the impact of that experience has stayed with me. Living with PTSD means that certain things can bring those memories and feelings back.

    I think that's partly why Tristyn Bailey's story has affected me so deeply. Although I never knew her personally, what happened to her has made me reflect on how precious life is and how important it is for people to feel safe, understood and supported.

    I don't share this for sympathy. I simply want to explain why her story has resonated with me on such a personal level. I hope Tristyn continues to be remembered for the person she was, and that her memory brings people together through kindness, compassion and understanding. ❤️🦋
