My current posting philosophy is if I post or boost one doomy thing, I will also post or boost three+ positive/fun/interesting things as well. I feel this pull to share certain types of doomy news for awareness, but I also don't want to make everyone (including myself!) miserable. It's a start..?

I don't have kids. But man, did I notice a difference in kids in public while in Italy, including about 5 days in Südtirol surrounded by German speakers. It's little things that let everyone know that kids are people, and they belong in public and should be interacting with the world.

yep, it's always pretty bad, unfortunately. i think that's why so many of the news outlets here just focus on campaign funding, it's practically the only available story (unless they were to actually report on policy, *laughter*).
