    I guess all that rambling to say for every “don’t talk badly about what you make it’s insulting to your followers!” sentiment i’d like to see more “don’t talk badly about your art or you’ll start to believe it, and it will harm you as a person and an artist”

    even if ppl fall into the self deprecation realm, centering their struggles around imaginary people and what they may think over the person who is in such a severe rut isn’t really helpful when the problem isn’t the ppl who love their art it’s something internal going on that feels the cycle.

    there’s a difference between having honest conversations about your feelings around what one creates and the natural lulls one will have about it, VS falling into self deprecating behaviors that actually do start to harm your self esteem and creativity if dwelled in for too long.

    really the focus shouldn't be on the viewer or theoretical follower count but on the artist who is struggling, to remind our fellows that sometimes you make bad art, sometimes your creativity will peak and valley, sometimes making is slower than others and that’s okay and normal because it’s human.
