We need a serious chat about biomarkers, the corporatisation of brain health, and the contextualisation of disease modifying drugs and where this places our current understanding of tau and amyloid. In the meantime we must sort out the abuse of unpaid carers.

Brain health has become intimately linked with a turbo charged privatised dementia prevention industry such as wearables, apps, modest interventions, intense marketing and so on. Corporate charities are predictably very interested. But where’s the same intensity of advocacy for unpaid carers?
