Post anzeigenI mentioned the pre-testing effect as part of a talk at @cogscisci.bsky.social last year, for example... and you can't get much more 'EduCogSci' than that! I think that this is the challenge of ascribing a set of consistent beliefs to the 'movement' as you see it.
Post anzeigenYes I did read that post and I remember being unsure exactly who it was aimed at. E.g. I *have* seen people discussing productive failure, and the idea of pre-testing to stimulate that... so you may be right that some people haven't accepted it as part of the 'rules'... but others have.
