    Wilson did sign 4 of the 5 bills in Strauss' legislative package, including those that would authorize vehicle storage sites, more funding for outreach and an update to the City’s definition of junk vehicles.

    The ordinance in question was passed 6 to 3 along the moderate/progressive ideological split on the council. So Wilson will need to flip at least one council member in order to not have her veto overridden. Many of Wilson’s supporters said the legislation was a red line worth taking a stand on.

    BREAKING: Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson has just vetoed Councilmember Dan Strauss’ RV permit legislation, citing legal and administrative concerns, as well as worries it would cause more people to become unsheltered. Advocates said the bill effectively banishes hundreds of homeless RV residents.
