The Abbey is home to the Westminster Retable, England's oldest altarpiece. Designed for Henry III's Abbey, the retable is made of painted and gilded wood, and is acknowledged to be one of the most important surviving examples of panel painting from 13th-century England. #Museum30 #Paint
