Trip up to Somerset today, cheddar reservoir was cold & very windy the 4 whooper swans were easy to see but the greater scaup (2)& GoldenEye Male & female were much harder to find with waves in the Reservoir.Also m&f RC Pochard. Greylake had 2 glossy ibis flying over. #UKBirding #Somersetbirds.

Post anzeigenLow-hanging fruit as I plough through a pile of leaves and try to master leaf miners on oak/Quercus : Tischeria dodonaea with its characteristic chestnut brown blotch and concentric rings of frass. Emmet "reminds" me that Dodona was an ancient Greek oracle and spoke from "lofty oaks"! VC5 #teammoth
