I would suspect this is much closer to Richard Spencer disavowing white supremacist terrorists on camera on his way to Charlottesville. Singal's role in the movement requires certain gestures, and it's possible that he's legitimately not aware but I'm not convinced

He's ideologically invested in something having gone wrong with trans care and will accept no evidence to the contrary.
