Post anzeigenI suspect there are multiple reasons. Publishers being crap at promotion is one - how the hell did any of them think that some of the hilariously bad covers were suitable? Bias against women writers. "Men write dramatic historical fiction but women merely write romance" is a vile canard. /2
Post anzeigenNothing breaks immersion like someone saying jealous when they mean envious. Jealous is the fear of losing what you have. Envious is lusting after what someone else has. Mixing them is affect/effect for romance writers.
