Christians have a lot of work to do - repenting of our cooperation with forces of empire and dominance. Rejecting our dependence on worldly wealth and power. Reconciling with those we have called "enemy" when they are in fact "our neighbours". Recommitting ourselves to actually live LIKE Jesus.

Time to take back Christianity as a way of loving service, not as a tool for dominating and controlling (and yes, I realize this requires us to go wayyyyy back - like, before Constantine). But it's time. The evangelical implosion is, I truly believe, a work of the Spirit and a wake up call.
