I was a tester for Chromagraph Camera and it’s really wonderful. The app is opinionated, it has great taste, and it’s a lot of fun. If this sounds at all interesting to you, you should try it out.
Post anzeigenHello BlueSkyburgh! So I recently badgered my cinematographer @steveyedlin.bsky.social into making my ideal iPhone still camera app. It shoots RAW, bypasses the iPhone's look processing and instead uses the same image processing we use on our movies. t.co/makZzhFd2Q

Post anzeigenCiting @steveyedlin.bsky.social 's excellent analogy: if you were to measure a room in meters, and someone else used the same number but changed the units to feet, they'd think the room was much smaller. In Roku's case, all of the colours are shrunk back towards the greyscale, hence "washed out".
Post anzeigenI also want to thank you for the "meters vs feet" analogy for colourspaces, full/limited range, SDR/HDR, etc. I've struggled to find a simple way to explain those concepts to people for the longest time, and that analogy is absolutely perfect. I'll be borrowing and citing/attributing that.
