in general there is def a big vibe shift now that it's too powerful to ignore. the real question is moral/ethical and overall what do we do now that this technology exists.

some of them were very open leftists (and people who i expected to be the loudest critics) were telling me about the initiatives they've been using AI for to help their community or their activism, but they keep it low-key due to heavy judgment within their circles.

a couple weeks ago i put a very long thread on my insta story about where AI really is at (tl;dr it's way more advanced than you think, it will not take your job or bring upon the apocalypse, the future is open source) and i expected people to block me over it. i got tons of supportive DMs instead
