Hmm. I actually have a lot of feelings about this. When I first saw this, with this lens I find it incredibly distasteful. But then I thought about what makes me feel bad about this, when Sir Patrick Stewart is not present with us anymore to experience this. Who is this offensive to?

I then thought about how this could be insulting to the fans who cherish his memory, and have a strong vision of what Patrick Stewart means to them. But while this may be negative, I believe it’s up to the fan to allow these feelings into their mind.

I can’t prove what the motivation is behind making this, regardless how much we try to project our thoughts and feelings onto this screenshot of a video. So, why am I writing this with so much uncertainty?

After reflecting on this a lot, the only thing that is real is my distaste to it. I can’t fully explain why, but maybe I don’t need to. I will forget about this by tomorrow, it’s a momentary insult to the person I see who played characters I loved. But I control what I receive in my mind.

And I refuse to allow this to affect how I feel more than it needs to.
