If you follow that thought to its logical conclusion (I know, I know, vibe coders aren't renowned for that, but hear me out...) it would mean the entire AI ecosystem is underpinned by LLMs *deliberately* trained not do things properly, and only the 'smartest' vibe coders have this figured out.

That's not the same as saying hallucinations are a natural consequence of how LLMs are constructed; that much is well known and indeed something anyone using them has to factor in. No, this is saying the hallucinations are *deliberate* but by prompting for "no mistakes" you can switch them off. Mad!

It is an endless source of fascination, amusement and horror to me at the number of "vibe coders" on LinkedIn who post stuff that boils down to "hey, here's my cool hack, just add 'do this perfectly, make no mistakes' to your prompt!" Like they think LLMs make errors only when not told to dos so.
