Potentially. It looks like we have enough votes to do it, but I think it we would probably be better served waiting until 2028 and un-fucking SCOTUS first. It will be challenged, and there’s almost no way SCOTUS in its current configuration lets that slide.

And we have to start planning for 2028. Enjoy our victory - we earned it. But we still have a country to save, and the first step to doing that is to repeat this performance in 2028. We undid 20 years of GOP gains in state and local government this election. Now we build on it.

The most important thing to remember right now is that we have large majorities, but they aren’t veto proof. If people are expecting things like SCOTUS reform and universal healthcare off of a midterm election, that isn’t happening. We’ll get stuff done, but we have to give them room to work. 1/2
