The underestimation of Dems last night was larger than any pro-Republican error in the polls over the last decade with the exception of 2020. And I don't see major media orgs fundamentally reshaping their columnist slates or editorial priorities to address their "blind spot," as they did after 2024.

In 2015, the Dems were in trouble. The country (even under Obama) was settling into a center-right groove and a moderate GOPer (I dunno...Old Marco, Jeb, somebody) was keeping that going, until Trump burst in like Kool-Aid Man. Truthfully, Trump saved the Democratic Party. But the cost was high :(
