Post anzeigenThe Ontario-based Bruce Trail is twinned with the Tefuye trail of the Mountains to Sea Greenway (MSTW) in Taiwan. MSTW is a 177km hike from Yanshuei River estuary to Mt. Jade, the highest peak in East Asia, at 3,952 meters above the sea. It spans across several forest biomes and aquatic ecosystems.
Post anzeigenTefuye Historical Trail is a 6.4-km hunting path once used by the Indigenous Tsou. There are remnants of the old railway and wooden bridges built by colonial Japanese authorities to log red cypress. Members of Canada's Bruce Trail helped to reinforce sections of Tefuye using natural stone and wood.
