You didn't have to limit this to Telsa owners. Many car drivers do this regardless of the brand of car they are driving. The probability of a fine is close to zero. Enforcement of traffic laws in Taiwan beyond camera based tickets is almost nonexistant.

This is a really good point actually, transit will never be truly competitive as long as driving is so heavily subsidized as to feel free. One example of the high cost of free parking.
