You put Miller in a position in which he's effectively a loaded gun pointed at our democracy precisely because you *don't expect him to be constrained by the law*.

19/ So you can be certain that major media will start publishing reports-cum-thinkpieces on Miller's "philosophy" or "ideology." But he doesn't have one. He's just a fascist who devised a "worldview" that's only triggered—only *springs*—if he's put in the position... ...he was just given by Trump.

18/ And yet, it needs to be underscored that Miller doesn't actually believe in anything. He's trained to *speak* like he believes in things, but you must never forget that everything he says about the presidency only applies to any president who employs *him*. He would call it *tyranny*, otherwise.

17/ But now that we know Trump was having these conversations while willing to make Miller a de facto POTUS, they take on a new cast. Miller's obsession with finding huge spheres of government operation in which a POTUS is—in his view—unfettered by law is suddenly America's default governing theory.

16/ When news came pre-midterms that Trump and Miller were plotting a course for governing without Congress, I didn't raise an alarm because I felt people were misreading the reports. *Every* lame duck POTUS who doesn't have Congress tries to game out what he can do without having to go to Congress.
