There ended up being quite a bit of Emmet in this speech. More skeptical squints and references to high-energy physics than are probably typical for a wedding ceremony.

The main problems with raw, it's harder than people 1st think to actually make it a well balanced diet, more specifically, when feeding multiple ferrets, they can selective feed, eating the bits they like, leaving the rest to the others, so you don't know they are actually getting a balanced diet.

Good kibble takes the guess work away, so on paper is actually better for them. Add to that, raw meat, with its potential health issues laying around, flies, if kept outside, slugs & snails, etc, it can be a killer. 1 person we know lost a load of her ferrets to botulism, from dodgy raw meat.

We always use a mix of kibble, so if one make does go, we already have others, it also makes it easier to add a new one gradually. We give them some raw as a bed time treat. By doing it at night, they are in their night cage, so less worry of stashed meat, you don't find for days, it's cooler...
