The only argument I see against this is always "well then people will just lie about AI use" which: 1- They already do bc of the stigma 2- This is already true about nearly every rule that's ever existed anywhere. This is why courts exist. People act like lying is some new problem to solve.

If they tow the line of the big companies here and just grin and bear it, I don't know how they reasonably survive ever-growing server costs, a ever-shittified marketplace - and no guarantee of any return even on slop games. Ban AI or die.
Post anzeigen"but what can itch do?" any pushback is more than zero. And it compounds with every other source of pushback. a ban with weak enforcement lets your good-faith users you are on their side and empowers them to aid in that enforcement.
Post anzeigenSteam gets $100 per game submitted so there are perverse incentives to them not banning slop. This just wasted Itch's bandwidth so it's either A) they are flat out incompetent B) one or more owners are sloppilled and believe line go down is required for line go up
