My mom actually said today “I don’t want to put my pronouns on everything! That’s what I don’t like about this.” I had to explain pronouns are just a nicety and no one is going to force her to put them. Good god. Like I work in education, in Washington state, no one forces you to put pronouns.

And Washington did say “tax the rich!” So I mean Washington did some good things. I just wish transphobia wasn’t part of it.

I told a close coworker what happened and he was like, he also experienced grief losing a close friend of his and told the kids not to test him. Then asked me about my late cat and such. It was nice. Sometimes I do believe in God and they send people to help.
