It's sad I have to say this because the lives of cyclists and pedestrians should be enough, but drivers need to understand that their fellow motorists are putting their lives in danger. And also every time someone drives they are putting others at risk because car culture is inherently dangerous.

These unsafe choices often endanger other drivers -- it's not just cyclists and pedestrians who are at risk. Things like a driver speeding past a cyclist around a blind corner and coming a few feet away from slamming into an oncoming vehicle. Fewer cars and safer streets are good for drivers too!

20 years ago, the only thing you could build on a residential parcel in Seattle was one single detached house. Now we have lots of options, and can build 12X the number of homes on that same land, with flats, townhouses, ADUs and affordable housing.

I often think about the arthouse theaters I used to frequent around Boston between the mid ‘90s and early ‘00s. This was back when E! actually covered film and we had IFC’s “At The Angelika”, The Sundance Channel & Bravo when it had a totally different focus & programming.
