I just don’t get people saying it’s misanthropic because its criticism is aimed at actors and directors and people who make art. of course it hates those people, they’re not doing anything serious yet they’re pretending to be the most serious people!

one thing that would better position Democrats to win these tough races would be if co-founders of lavishly-funded "Democratic think tanks" cared more about winning than getting their name in the newspaper and so declined the opportunity to shit on Democratic candidates 3 weeks before election day

One of my overarching theories is that a bunch of people thought voting for Obama and tolerating gay marriage meant you were as left as you can get, then Twitter forced them to see other perspectives and it melted some people’s brains
