    I will write more on these UK threats and fears in due course. I will also write more on our experiences navigating trans heath and trans rights the other side of the world. Here's to a new start. Hoping it goes well.

    Day zero feels overwhelming. We really don't know anyone here. I've spent 6 days in Melbourne in my life. The kids have never been to Australia at all. Currently no phone, no bank account, no house rental, no schools arranged. Not the well-established life transition I would have liked.

    But, even with these stresses, isolation and uncertainty, I feel more hopeful than I have in a long time. I feel safer than I have in a long time. In the UK the threats of severe impacts on trans kids and families has continued to escalate. To a point where I was afraid daily of severe impacts.

    This week we left the UK for good, travelling to Australia. We've just arrived in Melbourne. I've got an exciting new role as Senior Research Fellow in Transgender Health in the dept Paediatrics at Melbourne Uni Medical School.
