I understand. Do what you can to make a paper trail. Even just "hey, we had a verbal conversation about my migranes and the effects my leave has has on work, here's my understanding of what you wanted me to change moving forward" sort of thing can save you later. Threats often look bad written down.

i'm so sorry you're dealing with that. i completely understand. thanks to chronic stuff i always blow through my vacation/sick time at work and my boss fusses when i take unpaid days off. but like. sorry my chronic pain and problems don't fit within a 40 hour vacation time frame across a year!!

that is such an obscenely stupid thing to say oh my god. you don't just "fix" migraines most of the time. you can't even reliably predict when one is gonna come and kick your ass. i hate the management culture of not accepting "shit happens to humans" as a factor in planning.
