Just thinking about the Amyciaea crab spider. I don't generally think of spiders as evil, but this thing is an empathy predator. It lurks alongside weaver ant colonies, pretending to be an injured ant, and when gullible ants go to help out what they think is their sister, they get eaten.

On the phone with my mom when she exclaims "oh, they shot the president!" and I'm like "really?? did they miss again this time??" It turns out she was watching some TV show and it was about whatever convoluted plot line was going on. Very rude false alarm.
