I’ve been reading a few books lately that have prompted me to learn more about areas of history I realised I didn’t know much about. What great books can you recommend to prompt kids’ interest in history and widen their historical knowledge? #KidsBooksFriday #KidLitUK #UKKidLit #KidLit

I'd always point people to the Young Quills Awards awarded by the @histassoc.bsky.social . You can find age specific shortlists easily online for any given year. This year's is at www.history.org.uk/primary/cate...

King’s Cross Station opened on 14 October 1852 as the terminus of the Great Northern Railway. Designed by Lewis Cubitt, it was the largest station in Britain at the time. With 2 passenger platforms, and 6 for storage and movement of locomotives. The Ordnance Survey map shown is dated 1894. 🚂

I still can’t believe this is true. If you’re curious, the paperback is out. A huge thanks to everyone who’s been in touch with kind words and congratulations. I’m deeply moved and honoured that my words are helping so many readers think about how to build a just future for all life on earth.
