Unfortunately, it feels like modern design remains keen on just using the minimal possible contrast for anything critical. It would be cool to have a bookmarklet that just makes text pop.

I may be mistaken, but I think some brands are using this as a sneaky trick to pop up on LinkedIn. They use this white in their logo and it pops over the rest of the site. When I saw it first I was so confused and thought it was a bug or something.

Luckily, it's no longer needed for useId() in React 19.1+. They changed it from ":r1:" (invalid) to "«r0»" (weird, but actually valid) to "_r_0_" (also valid). But still useful for other use cases 👍

I’ve used the ns for units (CSS.px), but escaping looks to be a lot more useful and I didn’t know about that
