Because I am disabled, and the disability is not "visible." And I had previous problems with management over paying rent and apartment maintenance. (And pet rent. I hate the concept of pet rent. So. Much. The office lost or didn't bother to digitize my dog's emotional support animal form.

UBI should have fewer (ideally no) hoops to jump through to get. "buying a house" was the first thing that came to mind in terms of "thing I would like to have." My current housing program reduces my rent, but does not advocate for me to appt. management, which tends to treat me with suspicion.
