I was just remembering, the other night, how in 2nd grade, we had a student teacher along with our regular teacher. They'd often give us hugs going into class in the mornings. ...🫣 One morning I commented to them after the hugs that the student teacher didn't have pillows for soft hugs...🤦‍♀️ I was 7!

I'm told that when I was like three or four, I would tell my mom that she would be pretty if she would wear a dress once in awhile. So apparently not all kids are created equal.

The best compliment I ever received happened 25 years ago. I was 16. She was 6. I had short hair, acne, & dressed like a punk. I was friends with her big sister. One day when I was on my way home, sister told me that 6 had said "When I grow up, I want to be pretty like Cooper." Never forgot it.
