“Guys! I never wanted any of you to get hurt!” Who needs to hear that?? Who the hell thought Sonic wanted them to get hurt?? It’s childish and prime and the movies make that seem normal. The reality is Sonic played more of a narrative role closer to a human parent, before.

Being used like Spider-man in the narrative, whose tension comes from balancing a human child life with the god-like powers being Spider-man comes with Sonic is if the Spider-Man half of the story was completely unbounded by human hesitation I’ve met many Peter Parker’s, rarely a Goku

Put simply, your human reaction to Roger’s performance can have nothing to do with direction, OR his voice. I believe here, the trailer is simply implying Sonic is being used to build tension, in a way that goes against how he normally “saves” his friends.

The issue with Sonic’s sound here might be neither a direction or VO issue video below compares “Justice” in the West and East It’s about Goku, but only how he is meant ‘save’ Indirectly, by being himself It’s about collective power, not one self sacrificial hero youtu.be/2f3GTsuA86Y?...
