Not at all! Love the convo, always welcome to hear more opinions. Xi's art style is, imo, timeless. You really can't do much to improve it. While the game itself has some archaic funk that could certainly be improved, none of that has to do with the visuals imo. (aside from maybe camera adjustment)

Literally the only thing that's slightly wonky about ffxi's art style is the distance offset on the shoulders and hips to make the limbs easier to skin and accomodate different kinds of equipment models. And that's just become part of the games style and atmosphere, even the minions in xiv have it
