The industry isn't collapsing, something much much worse is taking its place. We're just in a massive Pandora's box opening/Wild West phase for now.
Show Posthardware costs and studios who are already using AI for everything will turn around and use the hardware investment to own how the consumer base plays games. Its gonna be an awful arrangement dependent on subscriptions and Internet speeds with no sense of ownership.
