Agree wholeheartedly. Germany has a great system for ensuring the legitimacy of news organizations, both public and private. And people still have their version of the 1st Amendment. The 1st Amendment should apply to individuals, not corporations.

I agree. Canada has laws - that the country enforces - making it a criminal act to broadcast anything that is known, or should be known, to be untrue. To defend, support, and maintain a democracy, that criterion should be considered akin to yelling fire in a crowded theater.
