But yes, bombing Israel until they stop should absolutely be on the table. Apologies to all of my Israeli friends. As I have pointed out on many occasions, we are held responsible for crimes committed in our name even if we were personally opposed. (I expect the same to happen to me.)

I think in this case Israel is hated enough in the region that we have more leverage than we would under more typical circumstances. Whether it's enough to force them to the table, I don't know

I harp on this point because we know exactly the formula for dealing with ethnic struggles. Stop the violence and find some sort of agreement both sides can live with. If one side refuses to deal, you fucking bomb them until they come to their senses.

the model for resolving ethnic conflicts seems to be “bomb the more powerful group into relative parity with the weaker group(s) and then force a partition” which for obvious reasons we’re not likely to see happen
