And taking your game wholesale and selling it under a new name elsewhere has also been a thing for a looong time. People would download an iOS ipa or android apk, crack it, resign it and resubmit it. Honestly people using genAI for this are just paying extra for something a script can do.

agreed. We used to aggressively strip unused/unreleased assets from all builds, long before AI decomps were a thing, esp for big client IP. It is easier now of course, but this sort of hack has been going on forever basically.
