Delighted to share with you all that the last case heard by the High Court of Chivalry was in 1954, and that it was Manchester Corporation vs. The Manchester Palace of Varieties, and that they had to determine whether the court was still legally extant before they could hear the case itself.

This post made me realize I don’t think I’ve ever been in a men’s only space like this… maybe ever as an adult? They seem so normal in our society but at the same time it’s also 1000% normal and totally possible to just… not have those spaces at all. This framing is really helpful:
