It’s not ‘people who lived through war’, it’s actually boomers born after it…..the nearest memories of war for them are the 50s films like the Damnusters and Reach for the Sky.

My mother (94) can remember bits of the war and doesn't seem at all put out that some of the cultures that helped us win are now represented in the UK. Poor racists/Mail readers, it must be tough to be such eejits.
