I had an awesome talk with my managers at my work review yesterday. It really showed me how hard I am on myself. My manager pointed out I just was diagnosed fairly recently and it takes time. They told me I am a great employee. Then they asked how they could help support me where I struggle. 1/
Show Postsometimes they trigger because of stupid shit (yesterday it was because I was trying to get a time trial achievement on GT PSP and I really hated the car I had to use), and sometimes it’s nothing and my mood dips for no reason genuinely starting to wonder if I’m bipolar or something
Show PostBipolar done mercilessly kicked my ass around everywhere today like I’m its mere plaything it cares nothing for casting off the edge. Guess what? I had Chef Boyardee for dinner after barely eating today & I feel the morose insanity draining from me with food in my body. @coolhand.bsky.social
Show PostThe thing with bipolar is that everyone loves the manic guy, but doesn't want to deal with the depressed guy and that does not a lasting relationship make.
Show PostThanks. I will say the med adjustment alone (to treat what I have instead of what I don't) has been excellent on its own. The therapy is a bit intensive now, but...it's working. Lots of spoon mgmt and this little black band called Visible that helps me stay regulated so the MCAS doesn't flare.
